What Mental Wellness Retreats can offer:
- Teen Yoga Sessions: We are able to provide yoga sessions in schools, youth groups, guides/scouts and private parties.
- 1:1 Mental Health Support: In the comfort of your own home, or a separate safe space, I can offer individualised, tailored support either with yoga, relaxation or talking therapy. I am a specialist child and adolescent mental health nurse with years of CAMHS experience, working with a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, self harm and eating disorders.
Young people need yoga
A core priority is ensuring yoga is inclusive and approachable, removing common barriers such as cost, environment, and perception. When delivered thoughtfully, it can offer a safe space for self-regulation, reflection, and connection—elements that are often missing in fast-paced or high-pressure settings.
By introducing yoga early, young people can begin to build a toolkit of coping mechanisms that support their mental health both now and in the future. Whether managing stress, navigating identity, or handling life transitions, these practices can foster resilience, emotional awareness, and a greater sense of control over their wellbeing.
I am particularly interested in how yoga can be adapted to meet young people where they are—emotionally, socially, and developmentally—so it feels relevant rather than prescriptive. The aim is not just participation, but empowerment: giving teens practical tools they can use in their everyday lives.
Not only is yoga good for strength, it is also amazing for stress relief. I am in year 10 and I have found that when I’m preparing to enter an exam and I am nervous, the breathing I learnt really helps me to stay calm.
